Halloween, my all-time favorite holiday, just wrapped up, and I'm thankful to Netflix for lining up a rendition of yet another one of my favorites, " Frankenstein." Guillermo del Toro, who is also behind another one of my favorites, "The Shape of Water," adapts Mary Shelley's well-known novel. Oscar Isaac takes the lead as the mad scientist who creates the title character, portrayed by Jacob Elordi.
Sarah's Oil

Marvel Comics fans have something to look forward to: "Fantastic Four: The First Steps." The superhero movie introduces us to the "First Family" as they are forced to balance life and their different strengths. Pedro Pascal ("Game of Thrones" 2014), Vanessa Kirby ("The Crown" 2016-2017), Ebojn Moss-Bacharach ("The Bear" 2022-date), Joseph Quinn ("Stranger Things" 2022), Julia Garner ("Ozark" 2017-2022), and several other well-known names star in the film.
Nuremberg

Russell Crowe ("Gladiator" 2000), Rami Malek ("Mr. Robot" 2015-2019), John Slattery ("Mad Men" 2007-2015), Colin Hanks ("Fargo" 2014-2015), and Leo Woodall ("The White Lotus" 2022) star in the historical drama film. Crowe portrays Hermann Goring, who stands trial during the Nuremberg trials.

If you are up for a dystopian action thriller, be on the lookout for "The Running Man." Edgar Wright co-wrote and directed the film, which is based on Stephen King's 1982 novel. It's the second screen adaptation of the novel, told by a cast including Glen Powell ("The Expendables 3" 2014), William H. Macy ("Shameless" 2011-2021), Michael Cera ("Superbad" 2007), and Emilia Jones ("Locke & Key" 2020-2022).

"A rose by any other name..." Shakespeare lovers assemble, because we have a full feature film to look out for. "Hamnet" casts a spotlight on the famed poet, telling the story of his relationship with his wife Agnes. Jessie Buckley ("Taboo" 2017) portrays Agnes Shakespeare, while Paul Mescal ("Normal People" 2020) embodies William Shakespeare.
