"Friends," a '90s sitcom, was a staple in our household growing up. Back then, we had to wait one full week to catch the next episode of our favorite shows. Streaming services are an invention I am thankful for, because over the years, I've kept watching the "Friends" show on repeat. 


It remains my go-to show whenever I want to watch something passively or when getting chores done. And with each rewatch, I end up discovering something I hadn't noticed before.

Better late than never, and I am usually late watching most of the movies and shows I'll review on this site. "Hollywood" premiered on Netflix, the streaming service, in 2020, but I only sat down to watch the full series in one night, earlier this year (2025). 


The period fantasy poses the question of "what if?" Re-imagining Tinseltown in an alternate universe where racial divides, homophobia, and traditional power dynamics are trampled.
